"Saw this in Vivo City early this week," she says. "Seems like surcharging is coming alive in Singapore. Oh, by the way, there was also another Amex promotion going on at the same time in the same store that’s giving 10% discount. Take a guess on which card I chose to pay with?"

I'm always intrigued by how merchants attempt to "cover cost" and usually end up driving behaviour.
